Sustainability
At Minimlizm, sustainability is not just a principle, it’s a commitment to the generations that follow. Every piece of furniture we create is designed to endure, both in terms of functionality and aesthetic appeal. We believe that furniture should not only serve the present but also stand the test of time, becoming a part of your story and, eventually, a cherished piece in another home. In this way, investing in Minimlizm products is an investment in more than just comfort, it is an investment in lasting value, both financially and environmentally, as our solid materials act as enduring carbon sinks.
We recognize that the creation of new objects always carries an ecological footprint, which is why we constantly strive to minimize ours. Product making is a complex process, involving multiple stages from material selection to manufacturing, transport, and delivery. At Minimlizm, we make decisions grounded in data, not assumptions. By actively assessing our emissions and environmental impact, we can ensure that every choice reflects our commitment to conscious development, while identifying areas where we can improve further.
“Sustainability is at the heart of our operations. While we’ve built our processes to be efficient and low-impact, we continuously explore opportunities to refine them,” says Amitoz. “Every decision we make is with tomorrow in mind.”
Thinking About the Environment
Our production is built on a foundation of efficiency and responsibility. We work primarily with consciously sourced and high-quality natural materials. Wherever possible, our workshops are powered by renewable energy, and our local partnerships help reduce transportation emissions while supporting regional economies.
Materials that lasts
At Minimlizm, every material is chosen with care and purpose balancing durability, beauty, and responsibility. We work with responsibly sourced hardwoods such as oak, maple, ash, and birch, each crafted to endure for generations, with FSC® or PEFC certification available on request. Our upholstery materials are selected for their longevity and ecological value, including certified wool, natural cottons, leather treated without harmful chemicals, and durable blended fabrics, complemented by low-impact cushioning made from certified foams and natural futon materials. Even the smallest components matter — our metal screws, fittings, and glides are all certified for quality, safety, and longevity, ensuring that every Minimlizm piece stands strong in both design and integrity.
Care and Maintenance
Minimlizm pieces are designed to age beautifully with the right care. Our furniture is intended for indoor use only and should be kept away from direct sunlight or heat sources to prevent warping or fading. For regular cleaning, simply wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and dry them immediately to maintain their natural finish. We recommend avoiding harsh or chemical-based cleaners, as they can damage the surface treatments and materials. With mindful upkeep, your Minimlizm furniture will retain its warmth, character, and strength for years to come.
Design for Longevity
Every joint, every component, every upholstery element is crafted for replacement, repair, and reuse. Our designs allow for easier disassembly, making recycling easier, and ensuring your products remain useful for decades.
Packaging & Transport
We minimize packaging whenever possible, and all materials—wood, cardboard, plastic—are recyclable. Transport is carefully planned to reduce empty runs and optimize routes, and we collaborate with local carriers who share our environmental values.
Circularity & Reuse
We encourage the second life of products through resale and repurposing. Customers can buy, sell, or trade pre-owned Minimlizm pieces, promoting a circular economy and reducing waste.
Through these practices, Minimlizm aims to create products that are not only beautiful and functional but also responsible. Every item tells a story, not just of design, but of care, ethics, and consideration for the world we share.
